Eastern Nagaland indefinite total shutdown lifted

The Eastern Nagaland Public Emergency has today informed that the Eastern Nagaland indefinite total shutdown has been lifted with immediate effect.

“The indefinite total shutdown imposed by the Eastern Nagaland Public Emergency Control Room, Tuensang Hq, effective from 6 pm on April 18, 2024 is hereby lifted with immediate effect. We regret all inconveniences caused,” expressed the notice.

The indefinite shutdown in the six eastern Nagaland districts – Kiphire, Longleng, Mon, Noklak, Shamator – was imposed from 6 p.m. of April 18. The objective of the shutdown was to mitigate the possibility of disturbances in the region.
