In view of the Eastern Nagaland Public Emergency and its subsequent public resolution not to participate in any central and state election and all citizen of Eastern Nagaland shall refrain from casting vote, the Emergency Control room has notified all its Tribal Bodies to direct its respective members not to participate in electioneering activities and government inaugurations.

The notification issued on March 21 by the Eastern Nagaland Public Emergency Control Room, Tuensang Headquarters directed members, “Not to take part in any electioneering activities such as, appointment of polling agents of different political parties, participation in any election related trainings etc.”

The order further appealed its members not to take part in any government inauguration till the proposed March 28 Eastern Nagaland Public Meeting is held.
