The District Economics and Statistics Office (DESO) in Mokokchung inaugurated a staff quarter in Marepkong ward, Mokokchung on September 27.

Inaugurating the new building, Neidilhou Angami, Director of Economics and Statistics, highlighted its importance within the department. “The new building is a substantial asset for our department. Such construction projects are not an everyday occurrence, and I urge all officers and staff to take the utmost care of this valuable addition to our facilities,” expressed Angami.

The Director also emphasized that improved provisions and facilities are directly linked to better performance from the officers and staff. “Better provision, better facilities come with better performance from the officers and staff. We can achieve greater things together,” stated Angami stressing on the role of the Economics and Statistics Department in providing reliable and accurate statistics for effective state policy planning.

Sharing the Department’s plans for the future, Angami said, “We have plans to construct similar staff quarters in all districts, ensuring housing facilities for all department personnel. This marks the third such construction project initiated by the department.”

Earlier, Mar, Pastor of Marepkong Baptist Arogo, Mokokchung offered a dedicatory prayer for the building followed by the unveiling of the commemorative plaque by Director Angami. During the event, Kezhalelhou Solo, Deputy Director of the EE PWD (H) Div-I, presented a technical report.

The program was chaired by Solo, and witnessed the presence of executive members of the ward council, led by the Chairman.
