Education department urge all schools in Nagaland to adhere to School Safety and Security guidelines

Kohima: School Management accountable for safety of children enrolled in all schools, both government and private

The Directorate of School Education, Nagaland, has reiterated the critical importance of adhering to the Guidelines on School Safety and Security, 2021, as notified by the Government of Nagaland through Notification No. DSE/MISC/SAFETY/12-12/2022 dated 29th November 2022, DIPR said.

The department asserted that the school safety and security guidelines apply to all categories of schools operating within the State of Nagaland, including Government, Private, KV, JNV, CBSE, CISCE, and EMRS schools.

The Guidelines on School Safety and Security, 2021, have been enacted by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India to establish a framework for holding School Management accountable for the safety of children enrolled in all schools, both government and private. These guidelines came into effect on 29th November 2022 and are accessible on the Department’s Online Education Services Portal at https://dosenl.in.

The education department has therefore urged all Heads of Schools to diligently implement these guidelines and ensure the safety and security of all students under their care.
