In May, 2023 the Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students’ Conference) initiated its Education Tour with the theme “Education Reformation Tour”.

The Reformation Tour 2023 took one whole month inspecting the education system within its jurisdiction, informed a press release by the CWS. In a follow up to its 2023, the CWS conducted its 2024 tour.

During the 2023 tour, the Conference noticed the untold grievances of all the GPS, GMS and GHS within its jurisdiction. Hence, the Conference adopted a resolution in all the Villages in order to empower the Education System in all the villages within its jurisdiction keeping in mind the Communitization Policy of Education. The Conference also highlighted about the roles of SMC/ SMDC, roles of Parents, Students, Churches and all the Departments in the particular village which shall contribute to the upliftment of the education.

Subsequently, the Conference initiated the Education Tour with a theme “The evaluation of Education Reformation Tour”.

The year 2024 tour, according to the CWS, was to evaluate the responsibilities entrusted to all the concerned particular village during 2023 Reformation Tour. The tour was divided unto three clusters: Changsang Range Cluster, Dongkhum Range Cluster and Yungdang Range Cluster.

On the tour to the Yungdang Range Cluster Sangle General Secy, Awe Chingmak Finance Secy. Pambou Loyem Social and Cultural Secy. And Yangkhumba Asst. YA Secy. Witnessed the excellent contribution of the community towards the respective Schools in the particular village, informed the CWS.

However, the Conference noticed the shortage of teaching faculties in almost all the schools within its purview. Some school buildings also required quick renovation and new constructions.
