Educational institutions need to create atmosphere that encourages innovation, curiosity of young mind: La Ganesan

Lumami: 86 gold medallist of university and 156 conferred in different department.

Nagaland Governor La Ganesan has said that educational institutions need to create an atmosphere that encourages innovation, new ideas and the curiosity of young mind to ensure India’s rightful place in the technological field and the world economy.

Attending the 6th Convocation ceremony of Nagaland University, Lumami, today, the Governor congratulated the students for their hard work, dedication and passion and remarked that whether they choose to go for higher studies or to start a new job, it will be an admirable endeavour and an adventure that promises to enrich challenge, perspectives and broaden the horizons with new cultures, ideas and opportunities to transform. According to DIPR, La Ganesan also urged them to learn as much as they can and earn their place among the best in the world, but reminded them to return to India to address the local challenges, innovate solutions, and inspires the next generation.

La Ganesan also congratulated the faculty members who gave their best to impart quality education, knowledge, skills and human values to their students.

During the Convocation ceremony, 86 gold medallist of the university and 156 has been conferred in different department.

Earlier Dr. Abemo Registrar Nagaland University declared the convocation followed by the welcome address and reports of the University was presented by Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, Conferment of Degrees by Dr. Samudra Gupta Kashyap Chancellor. The Governor was accompanied by the Vice-Chancellor NEHU, and Registrar Mizoram University, Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, and SP Zunheboto.
