Effigies of PM Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda burned as protest intensifies for Frontier Nagaland Territory

On the sixth day of the indefinite total bandh in all the Eastern Districts of Nagaland, the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda were burned down today in all the six districts, as an act of protest and as part of the Public Emergency called by ENPO since March 8.

At the Tuensang Headquarter district led by Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF) President Chingmak Chang with Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) initiated the mass students protest of burning up of effigies at main police point on Wednesday for the non fulfillment of ENPO demands.

Thousands of people gathered and participated in the sixth day of agitation, as the protestors burned the effigies to manifest their frustration. Slogans were raised against the GOI’s failure to respond to the demands of FNT.

The protestors emphasized that Government of India should recognise their demands with seriousness and sincerity.

The ENSF stated that these are not new demands but these are the commitments made to them by the GOI.
