Election will come one day with or without political solution: NDPP President

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), President Chingwang Konyak on Thursday asserted that with or without political solution, election will come one day. Speaking at the inauguration of the NDPP, Phek Region New Office at Phek, Konyak also called upon the Party workers to be prepared for election that may come sooner or later.

Konyak encouraged the party leaders and workers in all the five assembly constituencies under NDPP Phek Region to have better coordination and understanding to strengthen the Party as a whole.

He said the seat sharing formula in 2018 general election was done on an experimental basis which turned out to be a huge success and stressed on the commitment on pre-poll alliance between the NDPP and BJP.

The inauguration of the new office coincided with the President’s organizational tour of the state. The President was accompanied by members of the Central Executive Board, Central Youth and Women organizations, MLAs of Phek district and Former MP K.G Kenye.

The inaugural programme was led by Kupota Khesoh, Ex. Candidate of NDPP. “Act of Blessing” was pronounced by Ngutsolo Therie, Associate Pastor, Phek Town Baptist Church. After the inaugural function, the Party had a formal programme with the Party workers in which Dr. K. Hoshi, General Secretary (Central) led the program.

Mosonyi Domeh, President Phek Region delivered the welcome address welcoming the new leaders and members from other political parties who have joined the NDPP. Central Party leader Nuzota Swuro, Working President, Benjamin Lorin, Vice President, Vikali A. Zhimomi, President, Women Organization and Imchatoba Imchen, President, Youth Organization, gave short speeches in which the Party workers were encouraged to remain united and work hard in strengthening the Party.

A folk tune was presented by Juve Juyi Kro. The meeting concluded with a benediction pronounced by Mr. Wangtai Konyak, Pastor Konyak Baptist Fellowship, Phek Town.
