The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has invited the Eastern Sumis of Kiphire and Shamator districts to be a part of the proposed Frontier Naga Territory.
This invitation was extended during a joint coordination meeting between the Eastern Sumi Hoho (Sumis of Kiphire and Shamator districts) and ENPO today at Hotel Saramati Dimapur.
The house deliberated on the proposed Frontier Naga Territory and sources privy to the meeting said that ENPO have invited the ESH to be a part of the new arrangement between the ENPO and the Government of India.
The ESH will be deliberating on this proposal and revert to the ENPO at the earliest, the source said.
The meeting was chaired by the Z. Throngshe, Vice President, ENPO and Keynote address was delivered by ENPO President Tsapikiu Sangtam.
The ESH on 29 June held a peaceful rally and submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio reiterating their desire to exist politically, economically and administratively with present Nagaland.

Meanwhile, the ENPO President and General Secretary will be briefing the Konyak Union on the proposed Frontier Naga Territory at Mon tomorrow.
The KU has invited their Advisory Board members, Union Executive Council members, eleven KU units, frontal organisations – Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK), Konyak Students’ Union (KSU), Konyak Village Councils’ Union (KVCU), Konyak Gazetted Officers Union (KGOU), Mon District GB’s Association (MDGBA), Mon District Village Development Board (MDVDBA), Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum (KBBB), Konyak intellectuals, Village Council Chairmen (VCCs), Head GBs and Area Students’ Union office bearers to attend tomorrow’s meeting.
