Enquiry proposed against popular Youtuber Max Naga

The department of School Education (DoSE) has proposed to hold an enquiry against Pukhai, popularly known as Max Naga on his YouTube channel ‘Common Public Platform’, for misconduct and violating several articles of the Nagaland Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1968 while serving as a peon at Government High School, Aghunaqa, Niuland.

A memorandum issued by the principal director of DoSE directed Pukhai to submit a written statement of his defence and also state whether he desired to be heard in person within 10 days.

It further stated that if Pukhai does not submit his defence or appear in person or refuses to comply, the enquiring authority may hold the inquiry against him ex parte.

Attention of Shri Pukhai is invited to Rule 20 of the Nagaland Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1968, under which no government servant shall bring or attempt to bring any political or outside influence to bear upon any superior authority to further his interest in respect of matters pertaining to his service under the government. If any representation is received on his behalf from another person in respect of any matter dealt with in these proceedings, it will be presumed that Shri Pukhai is aware of such a representation and that it has been made at his instance and action will be taken against him for violation of Rule 20 of the Nagaland Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1968, it stated.
