ENSF issues directive to monitor illegal immigration

The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has issued a directive instructing all its federating units to take immediate and decisive actions by activating all security measures like ILP check gates, surprise checking and to remain vigil of any unnatural movement within the jurisdiction.

Following the potential impact of the ongoing political instability in Bangladesh which poses a significant threat of mass immigration for refugees that can jeopardizes regional stability, the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation has issued the directive on August 12 to all its federating units i.e. CWS, KSU (Konyak), KSU (Khiamniungan), TSU, YAA, PSC, USSC, ENSSU.

“The Federation, also put forth this plea to all the Deputy Commissioners of the six (6) Districts i.e., Tuensang, Mon, Longleng, Kiphire, Shamator and Noklak to activate every village council in monitoring illegal immigration within its village and to report any unusual movement through District Administration for better communication channel,” appealed the directive.

Furthermore, the Federation owning to the high alert and risk of illegal immigration has appealed to all local authorities and community leaders to remain vigilant and proactive in addressing the challenges posed by illegal immigration.
