The Evergreen Welfare Society (E.W.S), in partnership with the Development Association of Nagaland (D.A.N), celebrated World Environment Day on June 5. The event focused on raising awareness among students about the importance of ’reserving and protecting the Earth through sustainable coexistence.
Under the theme “Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience” and the motto “Our Land, Our Future,” the organizers conducted various activities to emphasize environmental conservation. The day included a sensitization program for students, highlighting the significance of sustainable practices.

Following the educational sessions, a plantation drive was carried out at several locations, including GMS PheD, GMS Medical Ward, and Loyola Higher Secondary School. This initiative aimed to promote environmental stewardship and contribute to the local ecosystem’s health.
