Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung celebrated its 65th Foundation Day on 7th September 2024 with Thsuvisie Phoji, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, as the Guest of Honour. Meritorious students for the academic year 2024 were also felicitated at the function which was held at the College’s Auditorium.
In his speech, Phoji congratulated Fazl Ali College on the occasion and also for producing so many prominent personalities.
“FAC has stood the test of time and has produced many personalities who have excelled in their own ways and I strongly believe that we should continue to be a centre of excellence”, he stated.
The Deputy Commissioner also commended the meritorious awardees and said that their recognition speaks volume of their sincerity and dedication. He encouraged the students to keep up the spirt of competitiveness and take the award as an example where you should also have a vision to achieve a dream to achieve.
Phoji said that a lot of avenues await all students provided one continues to pursue one’s dreams with sincerity and dedication.
Principal, Fazl Ali College, I Wati Imchen, in his Foundation Day Speech, presented a summary of the achievements and development and growth achieved in a year by the college. He highlighted the growth in the field of academic achieved by students and also the various achievements by the faculty members. The Principal further informed about the infrastructural developments in the college and the various international and national events hosted and organised in the college.
Earlier, LS Vinod Kumar, Vice-Principal, Fazl Ali College, in his welcome address, said that the Foundation Day was a time to reflect on the beginnings and how changes have taken over the years. He paid tributes to the pioneers who had great visions to impart great education to the people reminded the gathering of their dedication that has paved the light for their visionary approach. The Vice-Principal added that the college has achieved greater heights and bigger dimensions and should strive to become a centre of excellence.
The programme was chaired by Imlinungla, Asst. Prof. & HOD, Department of Zoology, FAC. The Drama Club and Music Club presented a play and a song respectively while Rev. Lima Lemdur, Pastor, Union Church, FAC pronounced the prayer for the college.
