A heartfelt farewell program was organized to bid adieu to the departing Superintendent of Police, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, IPS, at the SP’s office in Longleng. The event, held on August 29, 2023, marked a poignant moment of appreciation and recognition for Dr. Pritpal Kaur’s dedicated service, DIPR stated.

Amidst a gathering that included police personnel, departments, NGOs, and public representatives, Deputy Commissioner Longleng, Dharam Raj IAS, extended heartfelt commendation to Dr. Pritpal Kaur. Applauding her selfless contributions, he referred to her as a “People’s SP,” underscoring her multifaceted efforts for the betterment of society.

In her farewell address, Dr. Pritpal Kaur expressed gratitude to the police personnel, departments, and NGOs for their unwavering support throughout her tenure in the district. The event was marked by a series of short speeches delivered by various stakeholders, including CO 12IRB, PPC, local associations’ representatives, Police Station OCs, and public figures.

N.Tialemba Phom, ES, (PBCA), highlighted the departing SP’s significant contributions, spanning from overseeing peaceful general elections and law enforcement duties to addressing drug-related cases, rehabilitation of addicts, and pioneering initiatives such as coaching, computer labs, and livelihood training.

The program, chaired by SDPO DEF Longleng, Bunglang Chang, served as a fitting tribute to Dr. Pritpal Kaur’s impact on the community and her enduring commitment to public service.
