Fathers have hugein the society, said Commissioner & Secretary, Environment & Climate Change, Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS. He was speaking at the Father’s day programme at Sumi Baptist Church, Zunheboto on June 16.
Kikheto said that good fathers will make a better society and appealed to all fathers to do away with all ‘isms’ be it tribalism or clanism which are the greatest weaknesses in today’s society in the state. He also called upon all to support the government to change for the better instead of criticising at all times. He appealed to all to advocate clean election in the State particularly in Sumi areas.

He said that geographically the district of Zunheboto is in the heart of the state surrounded by all tribes and therefore called upon all for unity and to do away with favouritism of tribes/clans during elections.
He also appealed to the GBs, Government Servant to refrain from being a part of the undergrounds irrespective of factions and instead work towards changing the system for the better. He further called upon all to humble themselves, regard and respect each other and maintain a peaceful environment for a better future.
