Drawing from her work in the development sector, she shared how her team supports the Government of Nagaland in capacity building, effective programme management, documentation of best practices, and research on climate-health vulnerability, particularly focusing on the effects of climate change on health and the need to provide better healthcare services to disadvantaged communities.

She encouraged students to rethink career options in Political Science, explaining that while the subject provides the lens to understand systems, the development sector offers the tools to transform them. She described Political Science as a discipline rooted in policy, governance, and empathy, emphasizing that it equips students to solve real-world problems. She also presented various emerging global career pathways, including development consulting, global policy and research, climate and sustainability governance, social impact and NGOs, CSR and ESG, and data, technology, and governance. She urged students to build crossdisciplinary knowledge, seek international exposure through fellowships and internships, gain practical experience with NGOs and think tanks, and develop digital fluency in data, visualization, and AI literacy.

She reminded the students that their degree is not their destiny, it is their curiousity that widens the road ahead for their career. The session ended with an interactive question-andanswer session followed by a vote of thanks delivered by the chairperson.
