Female bank employee missing in Mon; Police, Konyak Union seek information

Mon: KU appeals anyone with information of the missing woman to report to its office or to local authorities immediately

A woman has reportedly gone missing in Mon since morning of 30th March 2024. The Women Police Station, Mon has identified the woman as Liina H Chophi, 29 years with fair complexion. She is said to be of medium built and 5.5/5.6 feet tall. According to the Police, Chophi went missing from Thamnan Ward, Mon Town.

In an urgent notice, the Konyak Union has informed that ‘Lina H Chopy’ is an employee of Axis Bank, Mon Branch. Contradicting with the information provided by the Police, KU said that the woman has been “reported missing since March 29, 2024.”

“The Konyak Union earnestly requests the cooperation of the denizens of Mon District in locating her whereabouts,” the notice from Manpang K Wangyen, General Secretary, KU said. The Union has appealed anyone with information regarding the missing woman to report to its office or to the local authorities immediately. Your assistance in this matter is vital, it added.
