A day after a computer lab was inaugurated at Phom Lempong Higher Secondary School in Longleng, another laboratory was launched at Bautang Government Higher Secondary School, also in Longleng. The lab as the previous one has been donated by Apni Pathshala (Shri. Annirudha Malpani) of Community Health Research Programme (CHRP) Charitable Trust, Mumbai.

The lab with 10 computers and accessories was opened under the initiative ‘Fighting Drugs with Education’ led by Longleng Superintendent of Police, Dr Pritpal Kaur, IPS. In her speech, the SP said that technology can be a boon or bane depending on its usage and emphasized on using it wisely to benefit the society.

Dr Kaur urged all students to work hard instead of drugs or other intoxicants. She said that students are the backbone of the society and therefore appealed them to labour for a progressive and safe society.

Principal of BGHSS, Alumaran gave acknowledgement and motivated students for learning. The program was chaired by T. Imti Sangtam, BGHSS while Abeinu said invocation and Temjenkal Jamir prayed the benediction.
