A fire safety inspection is set to take place in Tuensang Town from 19 September onwards, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has informed the public today.

The safety inspection will cover all departments, schools, colleges, commercial buildings, private buildings and shopping complexes of high-rise buildings in Tuensang.

The inspection will be carried out by the Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services in compliance with the National Building Code part 1V 2016 to ensure safety and avoid fire hazards and incidents.

The DC has requested all concerned to extend full co-operation to the Department in carrying out the stated inspection.
