The coaching camp, which began on September 12 and will conclude on September 17, is being conducted at Pilgrim Higher Secondary School (PHSS) ground and at the athletes’ camp site, Dimapur. Certified coaches and former athletes, Moalong Jamir and Tsujen are training the selected athletes.

On September 16, members of the Nagaland Athletics Association (NAA) visited the athletes during their training. NAA honorary secretary Mhonsao Ngullie, senior joint secretary Purna Konyak, and technical convenor Bithungo Kikon interacted with the athletes and coaches. A prayer was held, and the athletes were presented with jerseys and sports shoes.

The NAA said the coaching camp is part of its effort to support the state’s contingent as they prepare to compete in the East Zone meet.

The team is scheduled to leave the state on September 18 and reach Ranchi on September 20.
