Chairman of Lhisemia Council, Ayie Yhome speaking at the opening ceremony stressed on the difference between “hard work” and “talent”. Stating that LSU’s Literary Day is a program where talents are uncovered, he told the children that exploring these talents early in life will benefit them in the future.

Yhome further said to the students that talent may take them to high places, but they must remain humble and possess integrity, walk in the light of the Lord and obey their parents. He advised them to take their decisions carefully and use their God-given talents to earn their livelihood. He also said that they follow their own dreams and not to fall to peer pressure, societal pressure or family pressure. “Work hard towards your goal and aim to work towards the betterment of society,” the chairman of LC said.
