Outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Shamator, Thsuvisie Phoji, NCS today said that new districts like Shamator can be developed through unity and cooperation. He said this during a programme organised for his farewell at DBs Court, DC Office Complex, Shamator, DIPR informed.

Phoji called to maintain the ‘brotherhood district’ in true spirit for peaceful co-existence of Yimkhiung and Tikhir tribes and for the upliftment of new district.

The DC said that the new district has faced many challenges and struggles including conducting the general election, but the election could be conducted successfully through cooperation and teamwork, for which he thanked the citizens of the district. Phoji also requested them to foster the same spirit to the incoming DC.
