Free surgical camp under CM-MOT held in Medziphema

A free surgical camp under the Chief Minister’s – Mobile Operation Theatre Camp (CM-MOT), led by MLA, Dr. Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhutso, was conducted at CHC Medziphema on January 12.

A short speech was delivered by MLA and team Leader (CM-MOT), Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, where he highlighted the key details and features of the CM-MOT health camp. He highlighted the services offered, purpose and the vision under the initiative, which was launched by the Governor of Nagaland to commemorate the completion of Chief Minister  Neiphiu Rio’s 25 years as a visionary leader, which aims to reach all district of the state. Dr Rhutso stated that Medziphema sub-division was the 22nd area to be covered under the CM-MOT.

He also informed the citizens of Medziphema who could not avail at Medziphema can avail the free health camp at Dhansiripar which will be the 23th area to be covered under the initiative, 24th at Viswema and the last 25th camp, to be covered at Tuophema village. He MLA reminded that the services are available for non-card holders also.

During the launching programme, ADC Medziphema, P. James Swu, NCS, briefly highlighted the initiatives of the Chief Minister’s – Mobile Operation Theatre (CM-MOT). He also chaired the programme. During the programme, welcome address was delivered by Khrielie Iralu Chairman HC MC, CHC Medziphema and a short speech was delivered by Thepfuselie Makritsu, President, NPF, 5 Ghaspani-II AC. The programme was attended by village councils, GBs chairmen, women organizations and the public.

The CM-MOT team consists of four doctors and surgeons: Dr Mao, Dr Lanu, Dr Kenie, Dr Ato; four nurses, OT, technicians, drivers and two truck loads of medical equipment. Keyhole surgeries, general surgeries, gynaecology, ENT, orthopaedics, services were provided during the health camp.

The free surgeries camp will conclude on January 13.
