The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Atsungba Walling inaugurated the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar, sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, at the Town Hall, Mokokchung on January 20.
Walling has encouraged the public to visit the event to support the local and national artisanal community and experience the rich cultural heritage displayed through these handmade works.
The exhibition and sale will run for seven days, from January 20 to January 26, 2026. Residents and visitors can visit the bazaar daily between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

This prestigious event aims to provide a platform for artisans from various parts of the country to showcase their craftsmanship. The bazaar will feature a diverse range of authentic handicrafts and handloom products, offering a unique opportunity for the citizens of Mokokchung to witness and purchase traditional arts directly from the creators.
