Goodwill Canteen inaugurated opposite IMDH, aims to provide affordable and hygienic food

A new eatery, Goodwill Canteen, was inaugurated on September 22, opposite Dr Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), aiming to place public service at the heart of its mission. The inauguration ceremony was blessed by Pastor Sentimeren and attended by friends, doctors, and the proprietor’s family members.

The canteen is owned and operated by Wabang Kichu, Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) councilor from Lijaba Lijen Ward. It will remain open daily from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and offers a regular menu with prices starting from Rs 20. Specialty dishes will also be introduced on a regular basis, with takeaway and bulk orders available.

Speaking at the launch, Wabang Kichu assured that the canteen would prioritize hygiene and food quality. He emphasized that the initiative reflects a commitment to providing customers with affordable and wholesome meals and expressed gratitude to IMDH for supporting the venture.

Also present at the launch, Dr Ademla Tinu, Medical Superintendent of IMDH, congratulated Wabang

Kichu and his family on the new venture and acknowledged his longstanding association with the hospital.
