On the occasion of Children’s Day 2024, Goodwill School, Mon, observed organised a programme with focus on ‘Nutritional Diet’ held at the school campus. The school arranged fresh fruit platters containing apple, banana, watermelon, grapes, cherries, coconuts, resin and pomegranates which were served to the students to emphasize good health and good eating habits.
The school also screened cinema through projector making the day more fun and enthusiastic for students. The cinema screening was divided into two categories: the animated film “The Boss Baby” for LKG and UKG students, and “Ice Age” for classes 1 and 2, adding an element of fun and entertainment to the day’s educational theme.
Kaiba W., Proprietor, expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the school’s journey since its inception on 29 January 2024. He acknowledged the hard work of teachers and non-teaching staff in nurturing the young minds. He emphasized the significance of organizing the program as a way to promote healthy diets and added that the aim for the cinema screening is to enrich visual education.
Kingchai Konyak, Director, highlighted that the purpose of observing Nutritional Diet on this day was to foster holistic development, reinforcing the connection between nutrition for physical growth and good eating habits with the source of vitamins.
Earlier, Nahtei Konyak, Headmaster, blessed the fruits before they were served, emphasizing the importance of good health.
A notable aspect of the celebration was that teachers took on the role of chefs, personally serving the students the delicious fresh fruits, making the day both educational and engaging for everyone involved.
To conclude the celebration, Phoya and Apham, distributed prizes to the winners of Literary Cum Cultural events competition held on 8th October 2024.
