Governor appoints NPSC Chairman and 3 Members

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 316 of the Constitution of India, read with Regulation 3 of the Nagaland Public Service Commission (Chairman, Members & Staff) Regulations, 2008, the Governor of Nagaland has appointed A Pitoho Chophy, Member, NPSC as Chairman, Nagaland Public Service Commission with effect from the date he assures charge for a period of six years or until he attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.

The salary of A Pitoho Chophy as Chairman of the Commission would be in accordance with Regulation 4 of the NPSC (Chairman, Members and Staff) Regulations 2008, plus all other allowances as admissible from time to time, a notification issued by Chief Secretary, Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS stated.

The Governor has also appointed Kenilo Apon, IAS Retd; Athel O Lotha, IAS Retd and S Temsuwati Angh as Members of the NPSC with effect from the date they assume charge for a period of six years or until they attain the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.

The salary of the three Members in the Commission would be in accordance with Regulation 4 of the NPSC (Chairman, Members and Staff) Regulations 2008, plus all other allowances as admissible from time to time, a notification issued by Chief Secretary, Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS stated.
