The Government of Nagaland has appealed to the ANATG-2015 Batch not to resume their suspended hunger strike or resort to further protests, stating that the process for regularization of services has already been initiated and is being pursued in accordance with established government procedures.

In an official response  issued by Under Secretary, Yitsuchu Trakha, the Department referred to the representation by the ANATG-2015 Core Committee dated February 13, 2026, addressed to the Commissioner and Secretary, School Education and SCERT, and conveyed the government’s position after examining the proposals put forward by the teachers’ group.

Responding to the first proposal, the Department expressed appreciation for the willingness of the ANATG-2015 Batch to assist in documentation work related to their service regularization. The Department acknowledged the proposal to depute ten members from the batch to assist in sorting documents pertaining to the group. It requested the Core Committee to furnish the names and necessary details of the selected teachers or employees to facilitate the process.

With regard to the demand for a definite timeline for regularization, the Department stated that while efforts are being made to facilitate and expedite completion of formalities for regularization of service of adhoc and contract employees, the process must strictly adhere to prescribed government procedures and formalities. The Department clarified it is not in a position to provide a specific date for completion of service regularization.

The communication further stated that since the concerned departments and agencies of the government have already initiated steps towards processing the regularization of its employees, the Department has requested the ANATG-2015 Batch to refrain from resuming their hunger strike or launching any sort of protest. It emphasized that it would enable the Department and all stakeholders to carry out their duties/assignments in a congenial and conducive atmosphere and help expedite the process.
