Govt offices receive cherry tree saplings under National Clean Air Program

Under the National Clean Air Program (NCAP), 200 cherry tree saplings were distributed to different government offices in Kohima on June 1.

A press release from DIPR stated that the initiative is being undertaken by the Kohima Forest Division and the Nagaland Pollution Control Board with the aim to curb air pollution and improve air quality in the environment,

In this line, Forest Ranger, Kohima, Pezaneinuo informed that the indigenous cherry tree saplings will be planted in government office premises. Nagaland is home to wild Himalayan cherry blossom, known for its unique autumn flowering.
