The Eastern Nagaland Public Organization (ENPO) has announced today that the government offices, be it State or Central, will not be allowed to function in the seven districts of the Eastern Nagaland region during the ongoing ‘Public Emergency’. Further, government vehicles will continue to be banned from the roads.
The 12-hour bandh being observed today in the region will end at 6:00 pm, after which the restriction of public movement, private vehicles and business establishments will be relaxed till further notice, ENPO informed in a notification.
Furthermore, the apex organization has cautioned that any private vehicle found carrying out government duty will be seized. “Any government offices found functioning in official/private residence shall be dealt seriously,” ENPO has also warned.
