Gen. (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak,  President, GPRN/NSCN (Unification) has announced a ‘State of Emergency’ in all Naga inhabited areas. According to a directive order issued on April 23, the declaration was made on “account of the abnormal situations and threats faced by the government of GPRN/NSCN (Unification)”.

The declaration was made as per the resolution passed by the High Level Meeting held on the April 23, as enshrined in the Yezabo (Constitution) under Article 21, Clause G.

Therefore, it had directed all Naga Army personnel on Sick/Casual leave to report to their respective Unit Commanders immediately. All unit commands across Naga inhabited Areas has also been directed to be on high alert.

“Regional Authorities under their respective RAOs of all Regions across Naga inhabited Areas are also directed to be vigilant and remain on high alert. This order comes into immediate effect till further notice,” mentioned the order.
