Graduate electrical engineers to agitate outside NPSC office from 11 August over CTSE re-examination

Kohima: GEEAN’s ultimatum for re-examination expires on 10 August

Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN), while demanding for re-examination Combined Technical Services Examination (CTSE) for Electrical Engineering (Diploma & Degree) papers, warned to launch an agitation outside NPSC office from 11 August as the time given to NPSC ends on 10 August 2023.

CTAN stated that the Graduate Electrical Engineers’ Association of Nagaland (GEEAN) had proposed an ultimatum on 3 August 2023 for re-examination but it was not accepted by the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) who asked for 7 days time, which ends on 10 August.

It mentioned that GEEAN aspirants faced multiple erroneous questions and on scrutinizing the answer key provided by the commission they cumulated data and submitted the answer key challenge with the evidences as per the commission directives. CTAN pointed that there were 114 errors in diploma paper 1 & 2 and 83 in degree paper 1 & 2 respectively.

Further, it stated that the representation challenging the answer key and demanding for re-examination of both diploma and degree (electrical) papers was submitted on 4 July. The executives of GEEAN and CTAN has also requested the commission for addressing the issue on several occasion dated 14 July, 18 July and 24 July. However, it has not received any positive response from the commission till date.

Consequently, setting 10 August as the deadline, CTAN stated that the aggrieved party will hold an agitation from 11 August outside NPSC office and appealed all the aspirants of Agri, Allied and others to bear with the situation as their exams are scheduled from 9-14 August.
