Under the Kiphire Aspirational District and Khongsa Aspirational Block, Gram Sabhas were conducted at Insikur, Old Vongti, Muthingkhong, Amikioro and Khongsa Villages on October 2.

The major topics covered in the meeting were discussion on initiatives undertaken and problems in the villages that needs to be tackled. Various themes of the Local Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGS) were also discussed and thereafter selection of themes were developed. The Gram Sabhas were led by the Chairman of Village Councils and VDB Secretary respectively.

The Gram Sabha was facilitated by Piramal Foundation, lead by Litsa in collaboration with (Aspirational District), Kiphire which is to be a stepping stone to equip Village councils for the upcoming agenda based GPDP and a way forward. Prior to the Gram Sabha, Gram Panchayat Planning Facilitation Team (GPPFT) was formed in all these villages as well.
