‘Ground Zero’ by TakeOne became the first film to be screened at the Film Fiesta Open Air Cinema, which was inaugurated today by Abu Metha, Advisor to Chief Minister, at the Hornbill Festival Main Arena, Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) has launched the first Film Fiesta where curated, indigenous films will be screened. The films will be screened from 4pm to 5pm for three days starting today.
Metha, in his address, asserted that Hornbill Festival is a platform for highlighting the innovation, the creativity, the energy, the vibrancy of Naga youth. The Hornbill Festival sends out a strong message that Nagas are one people, and we have an ambition to contribute towards the nation building process and add to the rich diversity of this great nation, he added.
He stated that Film Fiesta an Open Air Cinema by DIPR is one of the highlights of the festival.
Metha said ‘Ground Zero’ is a short documentary about sports persons from Nagaland, of how they experience life, how they train and their ambitions.
The film also exemplifies the new found ambitions of the new generation of Naga youth. It not only highlights their day-to-day lives but is also meant to motivate all youngsters across the state, stated Metha.
