The Guwahati Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (GENSU) observed its 25th Anniversary on Friday at the PWD Convention and Training Centre in Guwahati under the theme ‘Roots and Wings’.
Tinojongshi Chang, Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development of Nagaland was the Chief Guest and Kyupise Sangtam President, Nagaland Solar Contractors Union was the special invitee at the jubilation event.
Peter Thong, Pastor Naga Christian Fellowship Guwahati, dedicated the souvenir commemorating the silver Jubilee.
Langphong Konyak Secretary Planning Committee and Wangyat Wangsu Vice President GENSU delivered the welcome address during the first and second session respectively.
Bangli Phom President GENSU gave the Presidential note while Ilika Zhimomi, Deputy Resident commissioner Nagaland House Guwahati, Laji Luyanba Convenor Jubilee planning committee.
Chingmak Chang, President Eastern Naga Students’ Federation and one of the founding members N Manpang Konyak delivered short speeches on the occasion.
The event ended on a high note with stunning performances from the duo Azi and Aro from Kohima and one of Nagaland’s most happening musical group, the 5 Minutes Band.
First session was hosted by Angshem Ngenloi and Along H Phom while Manhah Lunghu and Luaying Konyak hosted the second session.
