The monthly Review meeting of the District Level Committee for Narcotic Coordination Centre (NCORD), Mokokchung was held at the DC’s conference hall, Mokokchung on 18th June 2024. DIPR has informed that the meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, IAS.

The chairman stressed on the significance of the monthly review meeting to address the issue of Drug menace in the district. Reviewing the last meeting agendas, CMO was asked to continue with the inspection of CCTV installation at Pharmacies in the district.

On the on-going Substances abuse awareness program, DEO informed the house that the program will be taken up after the summer break. Sr. SP Mokokchung also informed the house on the various activities carried out by the Police against Drugs menace. To commemorate International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the house proposed to conduct a Half Marathon event on the 22nd June 2024.

The Half Marathon event will be flagged off at 5:30 AM on 22nd June 2024 at DEF, Mokokchung and will culminate at Main Police Point (Imlong Place). There will be two categories for the event viz: 1. High School/Higher Secondary Students (Male & Female) 2. Open (Senior) (Male & Female)
