Around 350 participants, comprising of officers and other personnel from the District Administration, DEF Kiphire, 14th NAP (1R) Bn, Bharat Scouts & Guides and Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire took part in the ‘Tiranga Rally’ which was held at Kiphire Distict Headquarter on the eve of the 77th Independence Day, a press release from the SP office Kiphire stated.
The rally was jointly organized by District Administration, 14th NAP (IR) Bn and DEF Kiphire.
At the event, S. Lanu Aier, NPS, Addl. SP Kiphire welcomed all the participants to the rally and stated that the ‘Tiranga”, which is the National Flag of India, signifies the pride of India as a sovereign nation and that every Indian citizen should uphold the flag in highest honour. He added that the Tricolour also reminds us of the immense sacrifices made the freedom fighters and the founding fathers of our nation in delivering our country from servitude.
Phek
Commemorating the 77th Independence Day, a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally was held at Local Ground at Phek on Sunday.
Superintendent of Police Phek, Bharat Laxman Markad, IPS delivered the introductory speech of the program. The participants took a pledge against drug abuse in the spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga. DC Phek, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS delivered the closing remarks of the programme.
The programme was organised by District Administration in collaboration with District Executive Force and School Education Department at Phek Hq.
Zunheboto
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally was held on Monday. It started from K. L. Chishi junction and culminated at DC’s office compound. The rally was led by DC, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS and SP, Vishal. The rally was organised by district administration and Zunheboto police in collaboration with Zunheboto government college, government higher secondary school Zunheboto, ZAPO, ZCCI and Zunheboto town GB association.
Peren
The Peren Police and the Assam Rifles jointly conducted a flag march on to celebrate the ‘Har Ghar Tinranga’ campaign ahead of the 77th Independence Day.
“Every home adorned with the tricolor flag is a symbol of unity, patriotism, and respect for those who protect us. Together, we honor their sacrifice”, a statement said.
Chumoukedima
The District Administration and Police carried out a Flag March at Chumoukedima Town area on 14 August 2023 led by Deputy Commissioner Chumoukedima, Abhinav Shivam, IAS and DCP Chumoukedima, Munesh, IPS, along with police personnel, administration and GBs. It started at Chumoukedima Town Council office and culminated at CT Square, Chumoukedima.
The march was held to observe Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and also with the aim to show patriotism as Indian citizens and reinforced public confidence in law and order machinery and also building friendly relations between the police and the public.
Tuensang
The Assam Rifles in collaboration with Frontier Re En-Block (FREE) bike Club Tuensang organized a Bike Rally at Tuensang Town on Monday as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.
The rally was flagged off by Brigadier Vikram Singh, DIG 7 Sector Assam Rifles. Speaking on the event’s succeeded, Brigadier Vikram Singh stated, “Har Ghar Tiranga initiative started as a testament to the enduring bond shared between the armed forces and Citizens they protect. He added that the bike rally will reinforce to uphold the tricolor and promote a unified, prosperous India”.
The Rally brought together a dynamic assembly of Skill Bikers comprising a member of the FREE Bike Club Tuensang and representative of Assam Rifles.
