Health minister holds review meeting at Hezukhu Memorial District Hospital Zunheboto

Minister of Health and Family Welfare (HFW), P Paiwang Konyak on Wednesday visited the Hezukhu Memorial District Hospital Zunheboto and held a review meeting with health officials and civil society organisations in the district.

The minister highlighted that his visit was aimed at serving public interest and is in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. The tour, he said, is intended to check manpower and proper utilization of funds in the health sector of district. He also mentioned the various schemes and programmes launched by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio in the health sector, citing the example of CMHIS.

Konyak encouraged the public and various civil society in the district to be aware of those schemes, and to avail their benefits.

Later, the minister talked about the various projects that are ongoing in the district including the quarters for medical staff in district and IPHL Lab, and also mentioned the future constructions of an urban PHC, a CMO Office, a 30-bedded Ayush hospital, a CHC at Pughoboto, PHC at Satoi, Hoshephu MO quarter and a Nursing School in the district. He sought the support of public and various civil society organisations in the district for completion of those projects.

In his address, MLA and advisor for Food and Civil Supplies, KT Sukhalu said he will make necessary arrangements and fund allocation for equipment room expansion received under Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by deputy director HFW, Dr. Khesikha Yepthomi and the welcome address was delivered by Medical Superintendent, Dr. S Kuotsutho.
