Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Dhansiripar has issued an order restricting the movement of heavy vehicles on a minor bridge located at Chainage 65.625 km near Razaphe Village along NH‑329A due to safety concerns.
According to the order dated March 3, 2026, the bridge was found to be in an unsafe and vulnerable condition following a report received by the office. Upon physical verification, authorities observed that the structural components of the bridge have significantly weakened, making it unsafe for normal vehicular movement.
The order stated that continued movement of heavy vehicles along the stretch could pose serious risks to public safety and further aggravate the damage to the deteriorating bridge.
In view of the situation, only light motor vehicles will be allowed to ply over the minor bridge at the specified location until necessary restoration works are carried out by the concerned department. Any individual found violating the order will be penalized as per the provisions of law.

The directive was issued by Vejoyo Swuro, Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Dhansiripar and the communication was issued by Shreyansee Jain, SDO (Civil) (HQ) in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Chumoukedima.
Authorities have urged the public and transporters to comply with the order in the interest of public safety until repair works on the bridge are completed.
