Fifth Note, a band from Kohima, has on Friday released its long awaited and much anticipated debut album. Here We Are was released globally by the Frontier Music SRL, Naples Italy.

The Album consists of 11 songs and a bonus track exclusively for Japan. The record also includes Fifth Note’s debut singles and a superbly crafted set of Hard Rock songs with a Progressive Metal edge, Kiredilie Kire, the band manager said in a press release.

The band line up has Samuel Thapa as the Vocalist, Khriekethozo Sekhose (Gugu) as the Guitarist, Jubito Swu (Jubi) on the Bass, Rüüvolie Kire (Avolie) on the Drums and Sheduto Kezo as the Keyboardist. Metsive Kezo is the band’s Media Manager.

Fifth Note started in the middle of 2019 evolving from the original foundations of a Christian themed band. They draw most of their musical influences from the secular Progressive Metal and classic old school Hard Rock genres of music. While Progressive Music can run the risk of being self-indulgent, Fifth Note manage to offer a sort of primal urge in their music still offering very catchy melodies and a very polished sound, the band’s manager stated.

Like many other bands of the genre, Fifth Note started out performing cover songs over the years including songs from label mates such as Stryper and Circus Maximus and also bands such as Dream Theater, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Journey and so on. Nevertheless, with the growing interest in original music and demand from the fans, the band released their original singles Misfortune and Here We Are in the year 2021.

With those original songs released the band gain prominence amongst the music lovers and give them inspiration to pursue further and has taken the band to conquer and climb up the higher stage with supports from around the state and beyond. The band has performed live at numerous events and programs, also winning several awards in their homeland, thus gaining a considerable following in their country.

Fifth Note’s original music piqued the interest from the Frontiers label which works hard to scout the most exciting musical talents around the globe and it resulted in Here We Are, the band’s debut full length album. The band is active in promoting good time music with no use of drugs, alcohol or things of that sort.

In the press release, the band’s manager Kire also expressed his sincere gratitude to Infinite Records, The Big Old Sun, Headlights, Shehü Production, Out Loud Inc, Auto Kings, Music Gym, Chromatic Clef and Well-wishers for the success of the album.
