The 28th Edition T20 Winter Cricket Challenge culminated on January 14 with the Highlanders retaining its championship title once again.
Organised by the Senior Noble Klan under the aegis of Nagaland Cricket Association in collaboration with the Forest Division Wokha, the Challenge was held at Public Ground Wokha.
The final match was played between LCYO and Highlanders. LCYO won the toss and opted to bat first and set a target of 103 runs in 20 overs losing. All the wickets. Top scorers were Rendemo 11, Renben Kikon 10, Renjanthung 10, Epithung 15 and Thechamo 13. While chasing the target, the top order batsman of Highlanders collapsed but the 3rd down batsman and 4th down batsman in the form of Asif and Mughavi. Who were unbeaten at 46 and 38 respectively and went on the lift the trophy.
Asif was adjudged the Man of the match Final for his quick fire of 46 runs and for claiming 2 wickets while blowing. Asif was also adjudged the Man of the tournament for his all round performances with the bat and ball. He scored 141 runs and claimed eight wickets in total.

The champions walked away with a cash price of Rs one lakh, sponsored by Senior Noble Klan, certificates, a trophy along with tree saplings. The runner up walked away with a cash price of Rs. 50,000 along with certificates and tree saplings.
The man of the tournament was awarded with a certificate and an android phone sponsored by Kumchen Mury. Meanwhile, Mhajan Patton was adjudged the best upcoming cricketer and was awarded with a kit bag sponsored by Base Strong(BS), Cricket kit manufacturer Meerut.
