The Valedictory Programme and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Hindi Fortnight 2025 was successfully organised at the Nagaland University, Lumami on September 29. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty, staff, and students, marking the culmination of a fortnight dedicated to the promotion and celebration of Hindi language and culture.
Prof Mithilesh Kumar Sinha, Senior Professor, Department of Economics, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr Harish Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Director (Sports), delivered an insightful Keynote Address, highlighting the significance of Hindi in national integration and cultural unity.
The programme began with a Welcome Address by Dr Ashish Kumar, Hindi Officer, who highlighted the initiatives taken during the Hindi Fortnight. The event was chaired by Dr Ashutosh Tripathi, Assistant Professor, Department of EVS and the Vote of Thanks, was delivered by Peter Ki, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Nagaland University.
Prominent attendees included Yanrenthung Ezung, Controller of Examinations (CoE); Dr Kevezai Tureng, Director, College Development Council (CDC); Prof Joginder Singh Panwar, Director, IQAC; along with Deans, Heads of Departments, Officers, faculty members, and staff of Hindi Cell. Their presence added to the significance of the occasion.

The highlight of the ceremony was the Prize Distribution, where winners of various competitions held during Hindi Fortnight 2025 were felicitated by the Chief Guest and CoE. These competitions aimed to encourage the use and appreciation of Hindi through literary, cultural, and academic events. The event concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to promote Hindi as an essential medium of communication and learning across academic and administrative spheres of the university
