Hovukhu solar power plant in Niuland declared restricted area

Whereas, 2×5 MW Hovukhu Solar Power Plant at Niuland, Nagaland consist of high end voltage electrical equipments which are extremely fatal upon contact with possible transmission through air during foggy or rainy weather. Also Solar Power Plants, which generally in DC office are extremely dangerous upon leakages for which the security fencing is provided at prescribed distance to avoid unnecessary loss of live & property.

Whereas, Solar Power Plants are very prone to lightening strikes adequate measures for which precautionary notice are placed along the fence and at vital high voltage equipments.

However, it has been observed that despite the physical boundary and caution notice installed at the site, the public have been visiting the plant without authorization posing huge risk to human life and damage to sensitive equipment’s installed at the plant.

Therefore, in the interest of safety and security of the general Public, the 2×5 MW Hovukhu Solar Power Plant at Niuland, Nagaland is declared as restricted area for public and trespassers will be arrested and booked under Section 223 of BNS and other relevant section of the law.
