HSLC, HSSLC examinations commence in Nagaland

Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio had on Thursday wished all the students sitting for both exams “good health and success”

The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) examination for High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) begins Friday with 24361 students sitting for it throughout the state. The Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination commenced on Thursday with 16084 students appearing.

Dimapur district has the highest number of students appearing both the examinations; 4746 for HSLC and 4853 for HSSLC exams.

Shamator, Tseminyu and Niuland each have one centre but Tseminyu district with 209, has the least number of candidates for HSLC.

On the other hand, Niuland district with 38 has the lowest number of HSSLC examinees. Longleng, Noklak, Shamator, Tseminyu and Niuland each have one examination centre for the HSSLC examination.

473 students in Mokokchung district will be appearing HSLC exam at Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School, the highest number among all centres. While, Government Higher Secondary School, Wokha is accommodating the highest number of HSSLC candidates, 492.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio had on Thursday wished all the students sitting for both exams “good health and success.”

The administrations in several districts have directed the public to maintain a calm, noise-free, and favourable environment for the students during the exam period.

The Naga Students’ Federation, while wishing the students the best for the examinations, also appealed the state power department for uninterrupted power supply.

Meanwhile, Pariksha Parv 5.0, the live streaming sessions for students with the intend to change the outlook/perspective of children towards examination stress and overcome their anxiety before examination results is underway

The programme, organised by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), can be very beneficial for the children and they can learn from the experts, get a better understanding of their future goals, and can get tips on how to cope with examination stress/how to manage time/things to keep in mind while studying, etc., and learn some tips that they can accommodate in their lives.
