14,652 students have passed the Class 12 examination or the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination 2024 as per the results declared by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) on Friday. Of this, 11,781 are from the Arts Stream, 832 from Commerce Stream and 2039 from Science Stream.
ARTS STREAM
14,166 students had appeared the exam held on 12th February-6th March 2024 which makes the overall pass percentage 83.16 per cent.
Keletsole Mekro from Dainty Buds, Kohima scored 97.40 per cent to top the Arts Stream while Akolendang of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur came in Top 2 with 96.80 per cent. Tokali H Awomi from Christian Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur, came in Top 3 with 96.40 per cent.
COMMERCE STREAM
949 has sat for the exam across the six districts where Commerce Stream offered – Kohima, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Dimapur, Peren and Chümoukedima – and 87.67 per cent candidates got success.
Satyam Kumar Jaiswal from Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur is NBSE Topper in Commerce Stream with score of 98.40 per cent. Bhuwan Chetri and Sneha Darjee, both from Model Hr. Sec. School, Kohima, came in the second position with total aggregate of 96.80 per cent. Aman Sahu of Ram Janaki Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur and Amos Damai from Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur are tied in Top 3 position with score of 95.60
SCIENCE STREAM
While 2521 had appeared the HSSLC exam, 2039 candidates or 80.88 per cent passed. The pass percentage in 2023 was 86.79 per cent.
Narola Imsong of Queen Mary Hr. Sec. School, Mokokchung secured the top spot with 96.20 per cent, Dlephi Oinam from Don Bosco Hr, Sec. School, Dimapur came in the second position with 84.80 per cent while Imtisungkum Longkumer, also from Queen Mary Hr. Sec. School, Mokokchung, came in Top 3 with 94.20 per cent.
