The Governor of Nagaland has today relieved Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Wokha district from Nagaland following the latter’s appointment as the Deputy Secretary in the 16th Finance Commission, Government of India.
This was announced in a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms on June 28.
“Consequent upon his appointment as Deputy Secretary in the 16th Finance Commission, Government of India vide Sixteenth Finance Commission letter No.10/12/2024-Estt/SFC dated 09.04.2024, the Governor of Nagaland is pleased to relieve Shri Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS (NL:2015) from the Government of Nagaland with effect from 30.06.2024 (FN) to enable him to join his new assignment. The officer is allowed to avail joining time as entitled under the rules after being relieved from his current assignment,” stated the notification.

K. Fürhesie Nyuwi, NCS, ADC Wokha has been assigned to hold charge of DC Office Wokha, in addition to his normal duties, till such time a DC is posted, added the notification.
