The Department of Industries & Commerce in a Press Release, has informed the general public that applications for PM Vishwakarma and Udyam Registration are completely free of cost, as per the official guidelines issued under the respective Government schemes.

It had stated that it has come to the notice of the Department that certain private individuals and entities are offering assistance to applicants for PM Vishwakarma, Udyam registration and other MSME-related scheme and in some instances, collecting fees for the same. While beneficiaries are free to avail such third-party services at their own discretion, no fee is to be charged or collected in the name of the Government for submission of applications under PM Vishwakarma or Udyam Registration, the Department stated.

The public has been advised to remain cautious and report any instance of unauthorized fee collection to the concerned District Industries Centre.

Further, the Department affirmed its commitment to ensuring that eligible citizens are able to access these schemes in a transparent manner and without any financial burden.
