The Integrated Health Campaign was launched today in Niuland at the DC’s Conference hall, Niuland. Deputy Commissioner Niuland, Sara S Jamir graced the launch as the Chief Guest, informed a DIPR report.
Addressing the gathering, Jamir stated, “If a society and nation are to grow, it needs healthy citizens and to have healthy citizens, proper health care facilities are needed”. Niuland, being a newly created district, still does not have a District hospital and for which the DC requested the stakeholders, specially medical officials, to reach out to the unreached pockets of the district, only then the objective of the campaign will be successful.

In regard to HIV/AIDS & TB problems, Jamir said stigma and discrimination is more harmful than the disease and urged the concern department to conduct intensive awareness camp in the district.
Earlier Project Director, NSACS, Dr. Ahu Sekhose, delivered the key note address while Deputy Director, STI & Nodal Officer IHC, NSACS, Dr. Zaiwang gave a presentation on IHC. Dr. Benchilo Ngullie chairperson of the program also delivered the word of gratitude.
