IHRC Launches Kiphire Board cum Eastern Enterprise Office in Nagaland

Kiphire: IHRC’s unwavering dedication to fighting for justice and human rights

In a significant step towards advancing human rights and social justice, the International Human Rights Council (IHRC) officially launched its Kiphire board cum Eastern Enterprise office at USBKA Golden Jubilee Built, Ground floor, DC ward, Kiphire on 18 July 2023.  The inaugural event witnessed a gathering of esteemed representatives from various organizations and government bodies.

IHRC, a renowned NGO dedicated to upholding human rights, was founded by Dr. Sunny Shah on November 18, 2010, with its National Head Office in Mumbai, India. The organization has since expanded its influence with branches in almost all states of India and recently established an office in Nagaland’s Dimapur.

The IHRC’s impressive journey was recognized by the United Nations, granting it Special Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) on July 25, 2017. Headquartered in Illinois, San Francisco, USA, IHRC continues to strive for the protection and promotion of human rights globally.

At the inaugural event, ADC Kiphire, D Robin, commended IHRC’s unwavering dedication to fighting for justice and human rights, even when faced with challenges in the system. He emphasized the significance of their service to those who are unaware of their rights and urged the IHRC team to persist in their mission for the betterment of mankind.

The event also celebrated the formation of Eastern Enterprise, a team of energetic youngsters aiming to make a positive impact on society. ADC Kiphire encouraged the group to explore avenues beyond business, focusing on nurturing talents in sports, music, dance, art, and other fields to empower the community.

Additional SP Kiphire, S Lanu Aier, pledged the full support of the police department to work hand in hand with IHRC in serving the needy and educating the ignorant about their fundamental rights. He highlighted the importance of organizations like IHRC in realizing the objectives laid out in the Indian Constitution, ensuring peace, development, and progress for the nation.

The gathering applauded Dr. Sunny Shah’s exemplary life story, highlighting his commitment to serving people selflessly, embodies the essence of true leadership. Additionally, USLP VP, Kipitong Sangtam, appreciated the efforts of both IHRC and Eastern Enterprise in bridging gaps and promoting unity in a world often divided by identity and tribalism.

The dual/attached office was inaugurated by ADC Kiphire, D Robin, during the dedicatory ceremony attended by representatives from various organizations, parents, and media fraternity.

As the newly inducted IHRC Kiphire board and Eastern Enterprise office embarks on its mission, the district administration, police departments, and community members have been urged to join hands in supporting the noble cause of human rights and social empowerment. The journey ahead promises to bring positive change and upliftment to the people of Kiphire and beyond.
