The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has expressed concern over the ongoing agitation by a section of aggrieved RMSA teachers.
“The present impasse is a lose-lose situation for all stakeholders, particularly the student community, who are ultimately bearing the brunt of the stalemate,” the state congress stated in a press release.

The NPCC stated that the prolonged delay by the concerned department and the state governement to honour and implement the ruling of the Gauhati High Court and subsequently upheld by the Supreme Court, is the root cause of the present agitation, thereby disrupting the normal functioning of affected schools across the state.
“The judgment unambiguously entitles the aggrieved RMSA teachers to salary and service benefits at par with other batches of RMSA teachers. There’s no justifiable reason for the Government of the day to deny, delay or deviate away from this stated verdict,” the release stated.
The NPCC appealed to the government to act without any further delay in fulfilling the Court’s directives so that the ongoing agitation can be brought to an end in the larger interest of the student community.
“The future of our children must always remain the top priority, and every effort must be made to ensure that it is not jeopardized by inaction or neglect,” it added.
